Chris Pine.
You may know him as young Captain Kirk in the two most recent Star Trek films. Perhaps you enjoyed his performances in People Like Us and This Means War – a romantic comedy where he and Tom Hardy play undercover operatives vying for the attentions of… I forget, some girl, I think. He’s ‘now playing’ on the big screen as the cold war superspy in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
Yeah mister – we’re talkin ’bout you. It also doesn’t hurt that he is an unabashed ally of gay folks and outspoken when it comes to human rights:
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Chris Pine says the U.S. should have done more in the run-up to the Sochi Olympics to protest Russia’s anti-gay legislation, which he calls “clearly awful, archaic, hostile nonsense.”
“I think we should do more than just send gay Olympians there,” the 33-year-old actor said in an interview while promoting his film “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.” ”What’s happening there in terms of gay rights or the lack of it is extraordinary and awful.”
So. He’s sex on wheels. Hotter than a two-dollar pistol. Smart. Articulate. Informed. Liberal. Gay friendly. Funny as hell. A talented actor. Humble. And he’s not done. Oh no. Yes, there’s more. As the folks over at Queerty put it:
“But now we may just drop dead after watching Chris Pine on Jimmy Kimmel Live, crooning Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.”
WHAAAT?! Chris Pine? Meryl Streep? Sondheim? That’s right, people. Mark your calendars for Xmas 2014 when Into The Woods hits a silver screen near you.
Seriously?
